Content design or writing?

Content is what you see about me on my LinkedIn profile, as below.

Writing is writing. See the same LinkedIn profile content in a text file, as below.

Content experience in a text file—Writers at work.

(For reference, I have included the text of this post in the above text file screenshot too.)

A few weeks ago, an organization changes the name of their team from UX to product experience. Now another organization decides to rename their “content designers” to “writers”.

Something is misplaced in our sentiment somewhere—misplaced priorities, misdirected response to the AI opportunities or challenges, or a misaligned shift in the judgment.

A content designer brings structure, readability, hierarchy, and the right interactions into the text—assuming that text means content here. A content design enables design, product, and the architecture—they enable findability, the user experience, the sense-making, and the logical progression in the customer journey. A content designer makes design more useful and meaningful for everyone. And we call them a writer?

If you see this interface from a Stripe account, can the writers merely write the text?

Is it writing or content design?

PS: Why would you rename a Yamaha when you move to a text file?
